Our Mission
"Providing access to a local, nutritious, and affordable food source" is the primary objective of Urban Cornucopia. Having more food grown in cities will also lessen the environmental pressures imposed on our remaining natural spaces, such as the Amazon rainforest. Slash and burn agriculture is just one of the many practices that increasingly jeopardize species around the world. Urban Cornucopia wants to contribute in its own humble way to an agricultural revolution.

Help us with our Mission

Less Gas
Take the concept of the 100 mile diet to the extreme. Growing your own food reduces the amount of fuel consumed when importing food from far flung destinations. Alternatively, support local producers with the added benefit of reducing your carbon footprint.

Less Grass
Excessive water, fertilizer, and pesticides are some of the resources required to maintain a golf course style lawn that no one is actually golfing on. Help change the current paradigm by reimagining how this space can be used and devote some of your property to food production.

Less A**
A diet that is high in fruits and vegetables is not only healthy, but also reduces your ecological footprint. Try incorporating more locally grown crops from Urban Cornucopia and reducing your consumption of carbon intensive meat products.
